Digital and Innovation as a key for a sustainable development of the area
Paris-CDG Airport Area aims to be an intelligent area: intuitive, innovative and digital. 70 R&D centres are located there as well as open innovation structures, companies specialized in digital, the development of new technologies (LG, Computacenter) or digital printing (Brother, Xerox, Heidelberg). To welcome and encourage companies to engage into innovation and digital, specific incubators have been created.
For example, l’Oréal has 800 sqm dedicated to industry and supply chain, equipped with robots, 3D printers, VR, etc. From its side, Groupe ADP has launched an experimental program called “CONNECT”. Its aims is to test, adapt and deploy new innovative products and services within the ADP Group.
The area’s training offer adapts to these new uses with training dedicated to digital and innovation:
- Research laboratories and university courses focused on the digital professions: Université Sorbonne Paris Nord University, Paris 8 University, CY Cergy Paris University;
- Free Post-A’Levels schools oriented to vocational training practice: Tesla Hub in Ecouen (IA Microsoft school Training), Simplon school in Aulnay-sous-Bois (Apple Foundation Program Training), digital factory in Gonesse.
- The inhabitants of the territory can thus benefit from digital-oriented trainings and thus facilitate their employability.
