Focus on Industry
An industrial historical area which has launched a major modernization policy
Paris-CDG Airport Area is historically an industrial area and holds the “Territoires d’Industrie*” label. 865 industrial companies are located there with a total of 17,000 jobs in the aeronautics, metallurgy, eco-activities, but also in the chemical, pharmaceutical and plastic industries. Large companies are located in the area such as Dassault, Sanofi, Vygon, Amada, Guerbet and L’Oréal.
The sector is tending to keep on modernizing by installing new R&D centres and using digital and Artificial Intelligence in order to become the 4.0 Industry.
*The national program “Territoires d’Industry” is a strategy of industrial reconquest by the territories which was launched by the French Government in November 2018. It aims to provide, within and through the territories, concrete responses to the challenges of supporting industry: skills development in the employment area, employee mobility, availability of land to set up or expand.
